Police Organization Providing Peer Assistance was established as a volunteer peer support network whose commitment is exclusively dedicated to providing a confidential, safe and supportive environment for police officers and their families. In doing so the POPPA Organization facilitates families and individuals in coping more effectively with the multitude of stresses experienced during the course of their law enforcement profession. We are dedicated to the prevention and reduction of marital problems, substance abuse, suicide as well as existing psychological disorders among our officers and their families. The POPPA program is designed to reduce the existing gap between the access and availability of necessary support services which includes the utilization of a professional mental health network.
